OKOndt GROUP in the Middle East market
The main industry consuming non-destructive testing equipment manufactured by OKOndt GROUP is the railway industry.
Developing and expanding markets, OKOndt GROUP actively participates in specialized railway conferences and exhibitions on different continents and countries.
On November 20-21, 2024, a large-scale regional exhibition "Mobility Live Saudi" was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where OKOndt GROUP had the opportunity to demonstrate mechanized, manual and high-speed rail testing equipment for the region's railways.
Almost 17,000 visitors were registered for "Mobility Live Saudi". Service companies, equipment suppliers, including for non-destructive testing, showed great interest in the flaw detection equipment manufactured by OKOndt GROUP, presented at the OKOndt GROUP and partner company "Arabcal" UAE booth.
The greatest interest was shown in:
- High-speed Eddy Current and Ultrasonic Testing System OKOSCAN 73HS, allows to perform railway track inspection at a speed of 40 km/h.
- Single-rail and Double-rail Ultrasonic Flaw Detectors UDS2-77 and UDS2-73 for ultrasonic railway track inspection at a speed up to 5 km/h.Various models of the flaw detector allow to carry out inspection in accordance with EN 16729-1 or AREMA.
- Single and Double Rail Eddy Current Flaw Detectors ETS2-77 and ETS2-73 for surface defects inspection on the working surface of rails according to EN 16729-2.
- USR-01 Set for ultrasonic inspection of aluminothermic welded rail joints according to EN 14730-1:2006+A1:2010.
The demonstration of the equipment aroused great interest not only among participants from the Middle East, but also from Singapore, South Korea, China, South Africa, Europe and Oceania countries.
As a result, new business contacts were established with potential partners, and OKOndt GROUP representatives held negotiations with regional operators and discussed business development opportunities in the region.
